  1. Hi sam
Finding this site is almost like my dream coming true…
I love art to the core and very much interested in taking part in all contest and want my 8 year old daughter to learn drawing very much.
Think this site will help us..
I was struggling really hard to know competitions around hope henceforth its easy and look forward for your guidance and support in our learning.

I wish to see my daughter as an artist just like you.

  2. Hello,

I am a philosophy teacher on the Galapagos Islands. As a result of our current unit (art, beauty and cosmic harmony) the students will create an artistic piece. I would like to know if any of your weekly challenges involve such themes and if so is it possible to know the deadline so that they can participate.

    Thank you!

  3. hi im ocean a 12 year old boy and i was wondering if nthe prizes are worldwid or just local just wondering beacuse i live in brasil ps thats why mi spelling in english isnt so good

    • You can enter any contests that say “International”. Those are worldwide contests. (You’re English was good! đŸ˜‰ )

  4. How do I go about finding legit art drawing contests for my 17 yr old. He draws in black sharpie very well. Faces etc detailed. We live in Oklahoma.

    • When I find contests, I put them on this page: https://www.samanthasbell.com/art-contests-for-kids/

I list them by due date. First check to see the location. Your son could enter any that say “US Only” or “International” (Open to anyone anywhere in the world).

      Next check the age restrictions.

Then click on the link! I try to only list good contests — if someone has told me the contest wasn’t run well, I don’t list it again.

Due to time restraints, I don’t have a lot of state-specific contests listed. But you can also try googling something like “Oklahoma art contests for kids”.

      Hope this helps!

  5. Hello;

I’m the creator of Smarty Pants Magazine for Kids. I’m currently running a Create Your Own Dino contest for kids. The idea is for the child to draw a brand new species of dinosaur, name it, and give us some details on the dino. The winner receives a custom-made plush toy of their drawing, a certificate of “discovery” and a feature on the magazine.
I would really appreciate it if you could list my contest. It’s free to enter.
    Thanks đŸ™‚
    Sandie lee

  7. I found a wonderful children’s drawing competition in the UK, but I sure is open to everyone, as my son won it last week in Romania. They immediately send out the prize of a cool robot (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsnivKwyBJM) to the winner.

    INVENT THE 2098 WORLD CUP
Future Inventors, we have a new challenge for this week. The World Cup is about to start and it got us thinking: what will the 2098 World Cup look like? Flying referees? Virtual stadiums? Techno-vuvuzelas?

Submit your ideas and the winner gets a FREE kit and see it become a project on Club Make! We accept ALL ideas: practical, fun to absolutely bonkers.

Entering the challenge is super easy: just draw your idea and share it below! We accept submissions until the 24th of June.
