About a year ago, I was trying out some hand lettering techniques. One of the websites I visited recommended the Akashiya Sai Watercolor Brush pens for creating fine details. I decided to give them a try.
The brush pens are fun to use! And they work just as you would expect them to. Draw a line or a shape, brush over it with water, and they flow like watercolors. I used them mostly for writing; I would put one color beside the next, brush over it with water, and the two colors easily blended together.
I also liked the variety of colors that came in the set. The colors are true to what’s shown on the end of the pens; I enjoyed my full set until our dog chewed the cap to the dark blue. I taped up the cap to try t0 prevent air from getting in and drying out the ink, and so far, so good. The caps fit on so well and so tightly; I’ve had these pens for a year, and the ink seems to flow just as smoothly as when I first purchased them.
The set sells for about $26.00 on Amazon. That may seem like a lot for a set of markers, but these are quality art supplies. You get exactly what is promised in the description. And they are much more than markers — they are watercolor brush pens!
