Kashmir

By Konain, Age 12, Pakistan

Pakistan observes Kashmir Day on 5th February every year in order to support the struggle of Kashmiris. I created this to show the struggle and fear of the children living in such areas. My map may not be accurate but the idea remains the same. The black and red area represents the fear, death and troubles in Kashmir, while the bright colors represent happiness in other parts of the world. Though, there are many other areas in such conditions like Syria, Yemen etc but I am focusing on Kashmir at the moment. I do not mean to speak bad or good of any individual country or government, I just want to show the struggle of Kashmiris to the world. While we went under lockdown just for a couple of months with countless facilities, we couldn’t bear to be locked whereas Kashmir was under lockdown without any of those facilities. Now most countries have ended lockdown but Kashmir was under curfew, is under curfew, but l hope that it does not have to be in curfew in the future. #freedomforkashmir.
